Market Review

Flat finish. The FBM KLCI closed almost unchanged yesterday. Market breadth was negative with the number of loses outpacing gainers by almost 2-to-1. Major headlines today are Asas Serba asking the Government to consider its plan to take over the toll concessions for RM50bn, Notion VTech expects revenue to double over the next 2 years on the back of its aggressive expansion, and Kencana Petroleum receives an order for the fabrication of a LNG jetty and marine structure from Chevron Australia. The improved sentiment in the Asian markets coupled with the strong close on the Dow overnight should see upside bias on the local market today.
