Among the key market news include Proton and Perodua to meet on their proposed alliance by end-Dec, IJM Corp and JAKS Resources’ 60:40 joint venture has secured a RM268.53m contract for the Pahang-Selangor Raw water transfer project, sources said Tamadam is to divest its loss-making warehousing business, MAHB’s unit is to sell RM1bn Islamic notes, Jerneh Asia being categorized as PN17, Konsortium Transnational to dispose of its properties for RM8.6m, Affin’s 3Q net profit rose 8% and Glomac’s 2Q net profit surged 71%. Overnight, the DJIA added 106.63 pts to 11,362.4 pts and crude oil jumped to a two-year high as US home sales and retail purchases topped estimates.
